The flu vaccine for the 2022/2023 flu season is now available at Northtowns Medical Group! Please call 716-874-2150 to schedule an appointment or ask to to receive it during your upcoming office visit. Drive-up flu vaccine clinics will be announced soon! FLU SHOTS HAVE ARRIVED~

Northtowns Medical Group has received their shipment of Flu shots! We have drive up Flu Clinics scheduled for today (8/27), 9/1, 9/3, 9/8, 9/9, 9/10, and 9/11. Call us at 874-2150 and let us know what day and time you will be dropping by! Get your Flu shot in the safety of your own car! PLEASE BE SURE YOU WEAR A MASK THAT COVERS YOUR NOSE AND MOUTH! More dates will be released if the above dates don't work for you. You can also get your Flu shot while you are here for an in-office appointment or a scheduled Nurse visit if you have one scheduled! Lots of options to get it, so give us a call!

Don’t want to leave the comfort of your home or office?  Northtowns Medical is  recommending video visits for your convenience. If you have access to a computer, IPAD, Tablet, or smartphone with a camera we are able to do a video visit. Most insurance companies cover them so if you are interested please inquire when scheduling your appointment.

Save a trip to the office and schedule a video visit with your doctor!  You can use your mobile device, tablet, laptop, or desktop – any device with video capabilities – using secure access. 

Northtowns Medical Group is currently providing video for appropriate types of sick call and follow-up appointments that do not require in-person care. There are lots of reasons why people have been requesting video visits – takes less time, no extra cost, saves gas and driving/waiting time, serves all their needs as well as an office visit for certain issues and problems, and no need to miss work or tie up their day.

Video visits are not for everybody and not suitable for many/most situations, but you may be interested if this sounds right for you

Just let us know when you are scheduling an appointment or calling for acute care if you would like a video visit. If it is appropriate for the type of visit, your next visit to Northtowns may be a mouse click away.

A message from Dr. Sarah Whittaker

It is with regret that I write this letter to inform you that I will be leaving Northtowns Medical Group, effective 11/21/2019.

I have enjoyed my four years at Northtowns, but must leave due to relocating out of state.

I will make every effort possible to facilitate a smooth transition, so as not to disrupt any of the fine medical care we provide at Northtowns Medical Group.  Dr. Edward Stehlik and Dr. Donald Gullickson will be transferring all of my patients into their patient population and accept the same insurance plans that I do.  If you have a specific desire to see one or the other physician please let the staff know when you call for your next appointment.  You should also call your insurance company if your insurance requires you to list your primary care physician, as most do now.

I am sad to leave, but rest assured knowing that Dr. Edward Stehlik and Dr. Donald Gullickson will serve you with the same values and standards of care to which I adhere.  I am confident that the transition will be smooth, your experience, and medical care will remain the highest quality.

Through CPC+, our insurers will give our practice additional resources to help us better manage your care. We hope to provide you the highest quality patient-centered care.

To help us take better care of you, Medicare will start sharing some of your personal health information with us. This information will help provide us a more complete picture of your health so we’re better able to coordinate your care.

If you want to stop Medicare from sharing this information, please let us know as soon as possible so we can notify the CPC+ team.

Your Medicare benefits aren’t changing. You still have the right to use or visit any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare, at any time. Your doctor may continue to recommend that you see particular doctors for your specific health needs, but it’s always your choice which doctors you use or hospital you visit.

Effective Immediately

Northtowns Medical Group has a policy to charge a $50 fee if you fail to show up for a scheduled appointment.  This applies to both missed appointments and any appointments cancelled with less than 24 hour notice.  This fee is not covered by your insurance company.  Future visits may not be scheduled if missed appointment fees are unpaid. In addition,  it is the patient's responsibility to know the appointments they have scheduled.  Northtowns Medical Group does send messages to the patient portal to remind patients of upcoming appointments.  Please consider signing up for patient portal access today so you will receive your appointment reminders!

It's official! Influenza activity is increasing across the country and CDC has received reports of severe influenza illness. If you haven't received your flu shot please do so as soon as possible! Walk in at your convenience during regular business hours to get your flu shot!
